2 HONEYWELL XENON 1900

Pros
Reads degraded and damaged bar-codes and offers omni-directional reading. Improved scanning performance on poor quality.

Cons
Delays scanning when system hangs and offers reduced resolution

Honeywell Xenon 1900 is built with Honeywell’s sixth-generation of area-imaging technology for redefining the standard for hand-held scanners at a cost of about Rs. 13,500.  It provides 5 year factory warranty, and offers three focal options (high density, standard range and extended range) to provide application-specific scanning which results in improved productivity. Image processing software is adapted to offer advanced editing functionality like cropping, brightening, rotating, sharpening and more, to produce high-quality digital images. The Xenon 1900 is built in such a way that it fits well in virtually any sized hand for reducing operator fatigue. The design of xenon 1900 is such that critical components are mounted on a single board to eliminate the need for connectors and save the space occupied by xenon 1900.  The operational modes are manual, presentation mode or auto trigger. It can read standard 1D, stacked, 2D and postal symbologies and easily decodes virtually all bar codes from high density linear to 2D bar codes found directly on the screen of a mobile device at a scan rate 240/sec.

It is built using Adaptus Imaging Technology 6.0 for delivering superior bar code scanning and digital image capture. The revolutionary decoding architecture that combines Adaptus Imaging Technology 5.5 and Omniplanar’s SwiftDecoder software along with a custom sensor is adapted for enabling extended depth of field and faster reading.  Xenon 1900 can withstand up to 1.8 m drops shock resistance to concrete from distances as high as 6 feet to increase the durability. It has more reliable design with fewer components with minimized downtime and improved serviceability, resulting in increased productivity. The optional disinfectant-ready housing is incorporated to protect investment with durable construction that is better able to resist the harmful effects of harsh chemicals. The light source used is 602nm-642nm red LED and depth of field is 380mm.
